Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data vauberrychippery.bond collects, why, how long it is kept, who processes it and what rights you have over it.

1

Who is responsible

The website vauberrychippery.bond is published by Harrowfield Press Ltd, Unit 4, 27 Corran Wynd, Stockbridge, Edinburgh EH3 6PN, United Kingdom. Harrowfield Press Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Privacy queries should be sent to [email protected].

2

What we collect and why

Contact form. If you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, the subject you choose and the text of your message. We use these only to read and reply to your message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence, and your consent given by ticking the box on the form.

Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs when pages are requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running. The legal basis is legitimate interest.

Cookie choice. Your response to the cookie banner is stored in your browser's local storage so that the banner does not reappear on every page. It is not sent to us.

Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, aggregate information about which pages are read may be collected. This is described in the cookie policy. The legal basis is consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

We do not collect special category data, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

3

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses essential storage to remember your cookie choice, and analytics and functional cookies only where you have agreed to them. Full details, including how to change your choice and how to block cookies in your browser, are in the cookie policy.

4

Processors and sharing

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: a web hosting company that serves the site and stores server logs, and an email provider through which contact form messages and replies pass. Each acts under a contract that requires it to protect the data and use it only on our instructions. Where a provider is located outside the United Kingdom, transfers are covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses as appropriate.

We will disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or public authority.

5

Your rights and the law that applies

Harrowfield Press Ltd is established in the United Kingdom and processes personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. The supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and you have the right to complain to it if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased where there is no continuing reason to keep it, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability where it applies, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that has already taken place.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation gives you equivalent rights and you may complain to your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you rights to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion and to opt out of its sale; we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email us at the address below.

6

Retention

Contact form messages and our replies are kept for up to twelve months after the correspondence closes, then deleted, unless a longer period is needed to deal with a complaint or legal matter. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling period, typically no more than ninety days. Your cookie choice remains in your browser until you clear site data or change it.

7

Children

This site discusses alcohol in an editorial context and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version is always the one published on this page. Questions about privacy should go to [email protected] or by post to Harrowfield Press Ltd, Unit 4, 27 Corran Wynd, Stockbridge, Edinburgh EH3 6PN, United Kingdom.
